The Village Heart
Before ARF became the organisation it is today, its story was written in villages — around wells, schools, farms, and the lives of women and children across rural Tanzania.

Our approach
One system,
not five projects.
Clean water is where it starts, but water on its own does not hold. ARF builds the connections between water, school, income and climate so that progress in one does not quietly cost progress in another.

Water
A deep solar-powered well removes the daily walk for water and puts hours back into every household.

Education
With water at the school, attendance holds — and hostels keep girls in class through secondary years.

Livelihoods
Reliable water turns land into organic horticulture, and horticulture into household income.

Climate resilience
Solar pumping, clean cooking and organic soil practice reduce pressure on fuel, forest and water table alike.

Stronger communities
Each layer compounds. That is why ARF does not treat any of them as a standalone project.
