Celebrating the Launch of Deep Water Wells at Mkuranga Primary and Kiparang’anda Secondary Schools

> On October 22, 2024, the African Reflections Foundation, in partnership with Drilling for Hope,proudly celebrated the launch of two deep water wells at Mkuranga Primary School andKiparang’anda Secondary School. This vital initiative now brings sustainable access to clean water,enhancing health and daily life for students and surrounding communities.

> The event was graced by the District Commissioner of Mkuranga, Khadija Nassir Ally, whoattended as the guest of honor along with her team. Commissioner Khadija’s presenceemphasized the importance of clean water access in advancing both community health andeducational outcomes, highlighting the district’s commitment to these critical goals.> These newly inaugurated deep solar-powered wells not only ensure reliable water access but alsorepresent resilience in the face of climate challenges, supporting the community’s needs forgenerations. In addition, Karen Flewelling, founder of Drilling for Hope, contributed learningmaterials to both schools, further empowering students in their academic journeys. Flewelling’simpact over the past 19 years has included more than 100 water projects across Tanzania, bringingtransformative change to many communities.
