One well changes a village's whole day

Deep, solar-powered and community-owned. Sponsoring a well is the most direct way to put ARF's longest-running programme to work.

How sponsorship works

    Identify

    Communities are identified with village leadership and local government in the areas of greatest water scarcity.

  2. 2

    Drill & equip

    A deep borehole is drilled and fitted with a solar-powered pump — no fuel costs, no grid dependency.

  3. 3

    Commission

    The well is handed to the community it serves, with the school or village at the centre of the ceremony.

  4. 4

    Report back

    Sponsors receive the story of their well: the place, the people and photography from commissioning day.

Named well-sponsorship opportunities are published here as campaigns open. Sponsorship costs depend on site and depth, so the team quotes each well individually rather than publishing a flat price.
