  Supporter · Drilling for Hope

  A retired teacher and coach from Saratoga Springs, New York, who has served as a humanitarian across the world — travelling to 14 countries on 20 separate trips. Her focus is funding wells so villagers can live healthier lives, alongside cisterns, water filters, school supplies and support for fistula operations.

  As recorded in 2016: 46 wells drilled or repaired, 10 cisterns and 34 water filters funded in developing countries. Figures are as published then and have not been re-verified.

  Supporter · The Sky Is Not Limited

  Founder of a foundation focused on solar power as a source of energy, with much of its effort directed to Tanzania. He donated solar-powered wells so villages could have a more sustainable source of water — a direct thread into ARF’s solar water story.

  A professional photographer who travelled to Tanzania to document village conditions and bring that record back to the United States, and who helped design and lay out The Village Heart itself.

  International Coordinator (2016)

  A long-standing supporter and friend of the Foundation who held responsibility for ARF’s work in the United States, described in the book as someone whose loyalty and energy shaped the organisation’s early years.

• Mercy Silla

  District Commissioner (2016)

  Her participation connected the Foundation with village water committees across her district and opened the way to work closely with the district administration — the relationship that made follow-up and project sustainability possible.

• Mohamed Punjani Foundation

  Partner organisation (2016)

  A charitable organisation working across the Indian subcontinent and Eastern Africa. The book records its work in Bukoba on Lake Victoria — funding surgeries for children and adults with physical disabilities — and a shared intention to work together on orphanages, water wells and fundraising.
